We lovingly refer to them as “Pete’s Ribs” but typically they are known as BBQ Pork Ribs. The recipe is pretty simple but the flavor and tenderness is amazing. You cook them in the oven for 2 hours and then grill them for about 15 minutes at the end to make them nice and crispy. They are simple to grill and a great recipe to have on hand if you need a quick and easy meal from the BBQ grill.

All you need to get started is 2-3lbs. Baby Back Ribs Ribs, 3 -18oz. bottles of your favorite barbecue sauce, 12oz. beer (or water will do). Get your charcoal grill good and hot and in about an hour you’ll be serving up delicious, moist and tender Jacks Barbecue Pork Ribs.
All you need for this simple and easy recipe is a slab of pork ribs (spare ribs or baby back ribs), salt, pepper, dry rub, pork marinade, ketchup, mustard, BBQ sauce and an aluminum pan. And of course, watch this short video then give it a try – you don’t know what your missing !

Ingredients

2 to 3 slabs (roughly 9lbs) of Pork Lion Baby Back Ribs (we bought ours at Costco-great price)

Ketchup

Mustard

4 tbls of Brown Sugar (2 tbl per slab)

1 – 12oz bottle of Stubb’s Pork Marinade (or your favorite)

1 bottle of thick BBQ sauce (we used KFC Masterpiece Original BBQ Sauce)

Salt and Pepper

Directions

Preheat Oven to 275 degrees F.
Find a large aluminum pan that the ribs will fit in.
Lightly season the Ribs with Salt and Pepper.
Drain the liquid from the bottle of Stubb’s Pork Marinade and spoon the seasoning that is left in the colander and put it in a bowl by itself. Note: you can dump the liquid from the marinade or save it for something else but you will not need it for this recipe you just need the spices.
Apply the seasoning that you just separated from the Marinade to the top of both slabs of ribs.
Add Ketchup and Mustard to both slabs. Now I don’t have an extact measurement except to say make a line going up and back on both slabs. Watch the video and you will see what I mean.
Mix 4 oz of the Thick BBQ sauce in with the seasonings that you separated from the Marinade bottle. Apply this mixture to the top of the slabs evenly.
Apply 2 tablespoons for Brown Sugar to each slab.
Cover the pan with aluminum foil and put in the oven at 275 degrees F for 2 hours.
Once it gets close to the 2 hours and you are ready to eat – turn your BBQ grill on to high.
Grill the ribs at high heat for 5 – 10 minutes – Apply BBQ sauce to the ribs once you turn them once on the grill.

Eat and Enjoy !
